Bendigo Fashion Festival

Wow! What an amazing few months this has been already….

When I originally took the plunge to enter the search for the Jools For Jim brand ambassador, I had recently giving birth to my second son.   My self-image was at an all time low, but feeling empowered by the beautiful boy I had just given birth to I decided to submit an application not thinking I would get very far. (You have to take a chance right?)

Not only was I was surprised to get an interview, I was absolutely shocked when I was told that I had been chosen to represent Jools For Jim, The Bendigo Jockey Club and the Bendigo Fashion Festival for the following 12 months.

Feeling out of my depth, but excited to ‘take a little back’ when I was feeling ‘all given out’ – I began this journey.  I’m absolutely loving it so far, and now that the Bendigo Fashion Festival is in full swing, excited to see what the next few weeks bring.

One of the Bendigo Fashion Festival highlights is the Runway Show, being held on Thursday October 8 at the Bendigo Town Hall.  This is a massive production, with so many local retailers involved, each showing off the fantastic retail fashion options we have here right in Bendigo.  I will be on the red carpet saying hello to everyone as they arrive, and encouraging attendees to have their photo taken with Jools For Jim and Bendigo Mazda before they go inside.  Wear something that you have purchased locally, and you can be in the running to win a $1000 Jools For Jim prize, and a $1000 photography package. (9 runners up also win prizes too).  How fantastic is that?? Remember – wear something you have purchased locally and have your photo taken. (Better still go and buy something new first!).

Finally, I also want to mention, that just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, Bendigo Mazda provide me with an awesome car to use for the spring season.  If you see me driving around (it has the Bendigo Fashion Festival logo on the side) make sure you wave!

Thank you to all my followers for your support and love, a special thanks to the people behind all that happens behind the scenes for the Ambassador program, and believing in me.

(Also a HUGE thank you to Bendigo Advertiser for the image in this post, and to Mona Lisa for dressing me.)
